Celine Marie Claudette Dion is a famous Canadian singer. She was born on the 30th of March, 1968 in Charlemagne, Quebec. She began her musical journey as a teen releasing a series of albums in French during the 1980s.

Her international break came when she won the 1982 Yamaha World Popular Song Festival and the Eurovision Song Contest in the year 1988.

When she learned to speak to English, she signed onto Epic Records in the United States of America. Her debut album was titled Unison and it established Celine as a viable pop artist in North America and the world at large.

Celine has sung in Italian, German, Latin, Japanese, Chinese and Spanish whereas most of her songs are in French and English. Some of her best selling albums include Falling Into You which was released in the year 1996, Let’s Talk About Love which was released in the year 1997. The albums were both certified diamond platinum in the US and went on to sell over 30 million records worldwide.

She is regarded as the best-selling French-language artist of all time.
