Edward Regan Murphy was born on April 3, 1961. Murphy is an American actor, comedian, writer, producer, and singer. From 1980 until 1984, he was a regular cast member on Saturday Night Live, where he first earned notoriety. Murphy is ranked No. 10 on Comedy Central’s list of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time and has done stand-up comedy.

This resulted in employment at local clubs within walking distance, followed by late-night employment at locations requiring a train ride. His mother discovered his deception at the conclusion of his senior year, and he was required to attend summer school.
