Emil Ruusuvuori is a professional tennis player from Finland. On July 18, 2022, he reached a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 42. He is currently the No. 1 singles tennis player in Finland. On 2 May 2022, he achieved a career-high doubles ranking of World No. 179.

Ruusuvuori entered his first ITF Juniors tournament, the Nokia Junior Cup, in 2013 at the age of 14, nine years after he began playing tennis. His first success came in 2014, when he reached two singles finals, two doubles finals, and won two doubles titles. In 2015, he had more success, including a final in both singles and doubles, as well as another doubles title. Ruusuvuori made his singles debut in 2016, winning four tournaments. He also continued his success in doubles, winning three events and reaching the finals of two more.

Ruusuvuori’s year began in the first week of January with the Hong Kong F6 Futures. In singles, he was seeded seventh and advanced to the quarterfinals before losing in two sets to Japan’s fourth seed, Shintaro Imai. The following week, Ruusuvuori qualified for his first Challenger event main draw, reaching the second round of the Bangkok Challenger. Ruusuvuori represented Finland in the Davis Cup again in February, going 1-1 in singles to help Finland defeat Tunisia 3-2.
