According to a post on Instagram by Pastor John Gray's wife, Aventer Gray, the pastor of Greenville's Relentless Church was admitted to the hospital on Thursday night with a saddle pulmonary embolism.
In her message, Aventer Gray stated, “My family and I stand in need of a miracle.”
According to Aventer Gray, John Gray will require two different sorts of surgeries because of the strain on his heart. In her post, she requested the community's prayers for her husband's safety and protection. Aventer Gray wrote: “To put this in perspective, the doctor noted that people have gone into the hospital dead with this identical scenario John walked in with.”
After working as an associate pastor for Joel Osteen's megachurch in Houston, Texas, John Gray relocated to Greenville in 2018. When Redemption Church pastor Ron Carpenter announced he would be moving his ministry to California, Gray assumed control of the congregation and the church's properties and renamed it Relentless Church.
