Kwesta is the stage name of Senzo Brikka Vilakazi, a South African rapper and composer born on August 11, 1988 in the “K1” township of Katlehong, Gauteng. He started the rap group Ghetto Fellaz with his friends in 2003 when he was 15 years old. That same year, the group’s name changed to The Juvenylz. He and co-founder Kid X are currently contracted to RapLyf Records, an independent record label.

Kwesta was given the opportunity to judge the Sprite Hip Hoop Tour in 2007 and was featured on The Ventilation Street Tape. He collaborated with other musicians to write the theme song as part of his participation in The Nokia Defend Your Street Campaign. The same year, Kwesta debuted with the single Sharp Fede.

He later collaborated with DJ C-Live to make a mixtape. Kwesta was one of the select few selected to be Brand SA Ambassadors in 2010. Prior to South Africa’s 2010 FIFA World Cup hosting, he performed at national roadshows. On the Everywhere You Go song for MTN, Kwesta collaborated with artists such as Kelly Rowland, Jozi, and 2Face. Additionally, he gave a performance at the 2010 FIFA World Cup’s closing ceremony.
