Ruby Franke, an American family vlogger who previously operated the now-defunct YouTube account 8 Passengers, was born on January 18, 1982. She was taken into custody in Washington County, Utah, on August 30, 2023, and accused for six counts of aggravated child abuse under Utah law, four of which she entered a guilty plea to.
On February 20, 2024, she was sentenced to a jail term of up to 60 years.
Franke started the 8 Passengers YouTube channel at the beginning of 2015, where she shared videos of her life in Utah with her spouse Kevin and their six kids. She used to post at 6:00 AM, five days a week.
