Betty White was a lover of pets. She loved animals. Story has it that her passion for animals started from a very tender age. It is said that she would take care of her parent’s pets.
On top of that, she would even take homeless pets and take care of them as if they were her own.
Nonetheless, rumors have it that the greater part of Betty White’s fortunes would be spent on animal charity.
What kind of dog does Betty White have?
When she was alive, one of the pets she loved was dogs. She once said, “I only go in the kitchen to feed my dog.”
She told People back in 1999 that, at one point, she had 26 dogs.
Betty told Harper’s Bazaar that she often skipped breakfast, then had a sandwich for lunch before heading home to have dinner with her golden retriever dog breed, Pontiac.
The name of one of Betty White’s dog was ‘Bo’. Bo died at the age of 12. This was revealed by Michelle Obama in her tribute.
White was so deeply connected to Guide Dogs for the Blind she made “very generous gifts” each year to the organization since 1986 while also attending events, writing mail campaigns and even recording public service announcements.
