Following her conviction and sentencing for causing a vehicle accident that claimed the lives of her boyfriend and a friend, a 19-year-old Ohio woman may serve a significant amount of time in prison.

At the horrific speed of 160 km/h (100 mph), Mackenzie Shirilla was just 17 years old when she slammed her automobile into a brick wall around Cleveland.

To break up with her 20-year-old lover Dominic Russo and her 19-year-old pal Davion Flanagan, the prosecution said she deliberately wrecked the automobile.

In the collision, Mackenzie suffered life-threatening injuries, while Dominic and Davion perished.

She didn’t give a statement during her trial, but she did somberly read one during her sentence that expressed her regret and perplexity over what had happened.

After being found guilty of multiple offenses, including murder, Mackenzie was given two consecutive life terms with a 15-year parole potential.

The judge also warned that, depending on how she behaved, she might spend the rest of her life behind bars.
