John Brockington is a former professional American football player who played as a running back for the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Brockington played college football at Ohio State University, where he was a two-time consensus All-American and won the Big Ten MVP award in 1970.

He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the 1971 NFL Draft and played for the team from 1971 to 1977.

During his time with the Packers, Brockington was a three-time Pro Bowler and rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of his first three seasons.

He was a key player on the Packers’ teams that won the NFC Central division in 1972, 1973, and 1974 and played in Super Bowl II following the 1971 season.

Brockington finished his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs in 1979, after also spending time with the San Diego Chargers and the Los Angeles Rams.

He retired with a total of 7,118 rushing yards and 32 rushing touchdowns. After his playing career, Brockington became an entrepreneur and has been involved in various business ventures.
