Albert Lincoln Roker Jr. is an American weather presenter, journalist, author, and television personality.
Roker is the current weather anchor on NBC's Today, and occasionally co-hosts 3rd Hour Today. He also has an inactive American Meteorological Society Television Seal #238.
On the December 14, 2018, episode of Today, the weather presenter was honored for 40 years at NBC. The Today Plaza was officially named “Rokerfeller Plaza” in his honor.
In addition to his role as the Today Show weather man and anchor, Roker co-hosted the third hour of Today called “Today's Take”, starting on November 12, 2012. However, the show was canceled in February 2017 for “Megyn Kelly Today” and aired its final episode on September 22, 2017. In 2018, after Megyn Kelly Today was canceled, Roker then returned to co-host 3rd Hour Today.
During the 2013 inauguration of Barack Obama, Al Roker received a handshake from Joe Biden, and years later, as an NBC News reporter at President Biden's own 2021 inauguration, Roker received a fist bump from the newly inaugurated president a few moments before Biden entered the White House.
