Hillary Diane Clinton (née Rodham) is an American diplomat, politician
and former lawyer.
She served as the 67th United States secretary of state from 2009 to 2013, as a U.S. senator representing New York from 2001 to 2009, and as First Lady of the U.S. from 1993 to 2001 as the wife of President Bill Clinton.
A member of the Democratic Party, Clinton was the party's nominee for president in the 2016 presidential election and became the first woman to win a presidential nomination by a major U.S. political party.
She won the popular vote, but lost the Electoral College vote, thereby losing to Donald Trump.
Following her loss, Clinton wrote her third memoir titled, “What Happened, and launched Onward Together”, which is a political action organization dedicated to fundraising for progressive political groups.

Hillary Clinton stepped back from the limelight and began pursuing other projects after losing in the 2016 presidential election.
Clinton now serves as the 11th chancellor of Queen's University Belfast. In March 2022, she announced that she had tested positive for Covid-19.
On March 22, 2022, Clinton announced that she had tested positive for the Coronavirus, but is reportedly “feeling fine.”
“Well, I've tested positive for COVID. I've got some mild cold symptoms but am feeling fine,” she wrote on Twitter at the time.
“I'm more grateful than ever for the protection vaccines can provide against serious illness. Please get vaccinated and boosted if you haven't already!”
