Where Is Scott Hamilton Now?

scott Scovell Hamilton is a retired American figure skater and Olympic gold medalist.
Hamilton won four consecutive U.S. championships (1981 to 1984), four consecutive World Championships (1981 to 1984), and a gold medal in the 1984 Olympics. His signature move is a backflip, a feat that few other figure skaters could perform that is against the United States Figure Skating and Olympic competition rules, but he included it in his exhibition routines as an amateur to please the crowd and in his professional competition routines. Hamilton is also recognized for his innovative footwork sequences.
After he turned professional, Scott toured with the Ice Capades for two years, and created “Scott Hamilton's American Tour,” which later was renamed “Stars on Ice”. He co-founded, co-produced, and performed for 15 years in “Stars on Ice” before his retirement from the tour in 2001. Hamilton still returns for occasional guest performances.
Hamilton has been awarded numerous skating honors, including being the first solo male figure skater to be awarded the Jacques Favart Award in 1988. He was inducted into the United States Olympic Hall of Fame in 1990

Scott Hamilton now lives in Franklin, Tennessee with his wife, Tracie Hamilton, and their four children. In his retirement, Hamilton has been involved in charitable work and is the author of three books.
