Cornelius Smith is the second guy who has been arrested for the murder of American rapper Young Dolph. Cornelius Smith is currently in custody together with his partner in crime, Justin Johnson.
According to Shelby Country District Attorney’s office, Cornelius Smith is currently in their custody at the Shelby County Jail. He has been charged with first-degree murder for rapper Young Dolph’s death.

Fans of Young Dolph are happy that finally, justice can be served for his soul to rest in peace.
The arrest of Cornelius Smith and Justin Johnson is coming just a week after they were placed on the wanted list after Marshals confirmed their identity as those who shot and killed Dolph.

Smith is also charged with first-degree murder, along with attempted first-degree murder, unlawfully carrying or possessing a weapon, employment of a firearm with intent to commit a felony, and theft of property between $10,000 and $60,000.

On December 9, 2021, he was arrested in Southhaven on an auto-theft warrant involving a White Mercedes-Benz vehicle used in Young Dolph’s murder. This is according to the Shelby Country District Attorney Weirich.
The Benz was said to have been stolen in a carjacking on November 10, 2021. Police following the information of someone who gave them a tip found the car in the 1100 block of Bradley St. in Orange Mound, three days after Young Dolph was shot and killed.

Southaven Police Chief Macon Moore told FOX13 that Smith was stopped on Airways Blvd. by the Dollar General just north of Rasco Rd. and arrested for a property crime.
Smith was extradited from DeSoto County Jail to Shelby County Jail on Tuesday, Jan. 11.
He is being held without bond.
