Fred Ridley is an American lawyer, unprofessional golfer, and chairman of the Augusta National Golf Club. He was born in Lakeland, Florida on August 15, 1952.

He had his high school education at Winter Haven High School and furthered at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida where he graduated in 1974 with a first degree in marketing.

The following year after completing tertiary, he won against Keith Carlton Fergus, an American professional golf player in the U.S Amateur Championship.

Fred Ridley was the captain during the 31st Walker Cup Match in 1987 and also in 1989.

He was made chairperson of the Augusta National Golf Club in August 2017.

On record, he is the last U.S golfer who didn’t turn into a professional golfer.
