An 80-year-old was found dead in her apartment after she had to wait 2 and a half hours for an ambulance.
Georgina Wild called the Saint John’s Ambulance service on Sunday at 2:30 a.m to complain of chest pains.
An ambulance should have arrived at her home 15 minutes later to convey the woman to the hospital but that didn’t happen.
Apparently, there were no ambulances available at the time she called, and had to wait two and a half hours to be attended to by one.
Unfortunately, her health was deteriorating really fast and she passed away before the ambulance got to her.
