American football quarterback Dillon Gabriel, who was born on December 28, 2000, plays quarterback for the Oklahoma Sooners. In 2019 he played at UCF, and in 2022 he transferred to Oklahoma.

As Brandon Wimbush’s backup when he started his freshman year at UCF in 2019, Gabriel took over in the first game and started the team’s final 12 games as the Knights finished with a 10-3 record, which was capped with a 48-25 victory over Marshall at the Gasparilla Bowl.

He completed 236 of 398 pass attempts for 3,653 yards, 29 touchdowns, and seven interceptions during the season.

After leading the Knights to a 6–4 record and a trip to the Boca Raton Bowl in his sophomore year, Gabriel finished 21 of 45 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns in a 49–23 loss.

Gabriel first declared on December 16, 2021, that he would be transferring to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Gabriel, however, declared less than three weeks later that, on January 3, 2022, he would transfer to the University of Oklahoma.
