Westlife, an Irish pop vocal group, was founded in 1998 in Dublin, Ireland. The group’s current members are Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, and Nicky Byrne.

With all 14 of their chart-topping songs reaching Number 1 in their first week, Westlife is the artist with the most Number 1 debuts on the UK Singles Chart. Since The Beatles, they hold the most single certifications by a pop group on the UK’s top singles artists list.

Westlife has been certified for 13.2 million albums, 1.3 million video albums, and 10.6 million singles, totaling more than 25 million cumulative sales in the UK, according to the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).

They are also now rated sixth on the list and have the most all-time number-one albums, placing them at position 19.

The trio has eight number-one albums and 14 number-one singles to their credit in the United States.

The group is Ireland’s and the non-British act’s (since Elvis Presley) most successful chart-toppers. They have amassed 14 number-one singles as a lead artist and eight number-one albums in the UK.
