Who Is Tems’ Mother?

In 1996, Temilade Openiyi, also known as Tems, was born in Lagos. Her mother raised her after her parents separated when she was five years old, despite the fact that her father was British. She picked up the piano when her music teacher recognized her at school.

She would sing along to her brother’s guitar as she practiced. Tems’ mother raised her in Lagos. She studied economics in Johannesburg and received her degree after attending Dowen College in Lekki. When she was 11 years old, she joined her school choir and began playing music. She recorded her original song, Mr. Rebel, in 2018.

She was chosen by DJ Edu as one of the “ten musicians to watch” in 2020. That year, Nigerian Davido and American artist Khalid asked her to collaborate with them on an Afrobeats remix of their song “Know Your Worth.”

Tems started making music when he was 20 years old.

Tems was nominated for a 2019 Headies Award for Best Alternative Song and Best Female Vocal Performance.

Who Is Tems’ Mother?

In reality, Temilade Openiyi is a British citizen. Her father is from the UK. Tems is also a major fan of tea in classic British style.

Tem’s mother hails from Nigeria. When I was around five, her parents separated. The names of Tem’s mother and father are not made public. Tems and her mother and brother moved to Nigeria; they lived in Ilupeju first before relocating to Lekki and subsequently Ajah.
