Friends and teachers described him as someone with a sense of humor and a big heart.
Because of his athletic nature, he always ran for exercise, and he regularly does that in the neighbor of Satilla Shores. Ahmaud had his tertiary education at South Georgia Technical College during fall 2012 and spring 2013 to train for a career as an electrician.
At a point, he had to pause his school due to financial constraints. He decided to save money by working in his father’s car wash and landscaping business. He also had plans to return to school when things get better — monetary-wise.
How Ahmaud Arbery was murdered?
Ahmaud Arbery was chased by the McMichaels and Bryan while he went jogging in their neighborhood. They trapped him between their pick-up cars before fatally shooting him with their short gun.
After the shooting, a police report was made. During the police’ interrogation on why they shot Ahmaud, the McMichaels and Bryan said they shot him on suspicion that he was involved in a burglary or theft in Satilla Shores. Police investigations show that nothing of that sort happened as there was no evidence to support their allegations. Innocent Ahmaud was just on his usual jogging mission.
When Bryan confesses to the police, he said he only saw McMichaels chasing Ahmaud Arbery and decided to join in the pursuit, but he was not sure if Arbery had done anything wrong.
After Travis exited his truck with a shotgun, Travis and Arbery engaged in a physical confrontation, during which Travis shot Arbery. Bryan recorded the pursuit and shooting on his cell phone.
Arbery had entered an under-construction house with no doors five times in five months, including once shortly before the shooting. Security camera video from inside the house showed no evidence of theft.
