Danny Dimes is the nick name of Daniel Stephen Jones III, an American football quarterback for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL).

Jones was born on May 27, 1997. In the 2019 NFL Draft, the Giants selected him as the sixth overall pick after playing college football for Duke.

In Charlotte, North Carolina, Jones went the Charlotte Latin School.He accumulated 6,997 throwing yards and 98 touchdowns during his time in high school.

Despite these figures, Jones had very little scouting after graduating from high school and was not listed on Rivals.com.

Jones decided to play walk-on football at Duke University after initially committing to play college football at Princeton University.

After sitting out his freshman year at Duke in 2015, Jones started as the starting quarterback in 2016 when Thomas Sirk sustained a season-ending injury.

Why Is Daniel Jones Not Playing?

Jones hasn’t missed a regular-season game since missing the final six games of the 2021 senior season due to a second neck injury.
