British actress Florence Pugh starred in ‘Midsommar’ and ‘Black Widow,’ and earned an Academy Award nomination for her role in ‘Little Women.’
The father of actress Florence Pugh has reopened his tavern to the public. Café Tarifa, a “secret sanctuary on Cowley Road,” is inspired by Spanish beaches and serves drinks, Spanish beers, and wines.
Clinton Pugh, the actress’s father, owns the pub, as well as Kazbar and Café Coco in Oxford.
Pugh, then 17, took part in an open audition and earned a role in the film The Falling while still in high school (2014).
She was later recognized for her performance in this role. Pugh was cast in a pilot for an American television sitcom in 2015.
She later moved to Los Angeles, where she had unfavorable encounters, such as the producers telling her she needed to lose weight. The pilot was never made into a series. “When it didn’t go through,” she subsequently told Vogue, “that’s when I understood how relieved I was.”
