Award-winning Nigerian rapper Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, also known as Wizkid, has addressed why he is unconcerned about Grammys and other significant accolades.

The 66th Grammy Awards were held yesterday night, February 4th, 2023, in the Arena in Los Angeles, USA, and are currently trending on social media.

On the other hand, Nigerian artists Tems, Burna Boy, Olamide, Ayra Starr, Asake, and Davido did not do well and did not win any prizes.

Users did, however, come upon a Wizkid flashback tweet where the singer gave his reasons for not wanting to discuss his award nominations.

Wizkid said he doesn’t give a damn because most awards and shows are decided upon by a committee of people.

Wizkid wrote; “I don’t post about nominations or talk about awards cos I don’t really care to be honest.

Just a bunch of peeps putting together a show!”

Wizkid received huge notice in 2021 when he won a Grammy for his joint work to Beyoncé’s 2019 smash song “Brown Skin Girl.” Wizkid won the ‘Best Music Video’ category, marking a significant success in his career.
