Yulia Borisovna Navalnaya, formerly known as Yulia Borisovna Abrosimova, was born on July 24, 1976, in Moscow, Soviet Union, to Boris Aleksandrovich Abrosimov (1952—1996), a scientist.

Yulia Navalnaya is a well-known figure in Russian public life, an economist, and is widely considered to be the widow of the late Russian opposition leader, Alexei Navalny. Media often refers to her as the “First Lady” of the Russian opposition.

In 2020, journalist Oleg Kashin claimed that Navalnaya’s father is Boris Borisovich Abrosimov, who currently serves as the secretary of the Russian embassy in Great Britain and is associated with the special services.

Additionally, Kashin mentioned that Navalnaya’s aunt is Elena Borisovna Abrosimova, one of the authors of the Russian Constitution.

In response to these claims, Navalnaya’s husband, Alexei Navalny, published a death certificate for his father-in-law, dated 1996.

Navalnaya earned her degree from the Faculty of International Economic Relations at the Plekhanov Russian Economic Academy.

She later pursued an internship abroad, continued her studies in graduate school, and worked for a period of time at a bank in Moscow.
