Former finance minister Chu Okongwu’s death didn’t sit well with a lot of people. Admirers and citizens he served have expressed their pain as a result of his death. He died on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at age 87.
He served his country with great honor and no regret. He always considered himself a journalist even in his higher position.
The Nigerians are flooding Facebook with lots of messages to pay tribute to him.

Plans about the funeral are not out yet. His death was announced not long ago. There might be a state burial but don’t know when. The state will diligently wait on the date of the funeral from the family.
