Chicago sports broadcaster Les Grobstein has reportedly passed away at age 69, sports station 670 The Score announced on Monday 17 January. The renowned sports broadcaster’s career spanned for five decades, recently serving as a host on 670 The Score. He was found lifeless at his home in Elk Grove Village Sunday.
Mitch Rosen, operations director, and brand manager for 670 The Score said,
“We are devastated by the loss of a Chicago sports legend. Our audience who Les kept company overnight for years will miss him the most along with our team at The Score. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and all of his fans.”
What is the cause of Les Grobstein’s death?
The veteran broadcaster and analyst has been fighting illness in recent times. But the actual cause of his death is yet to be determined. Reports only indicated that he died in his home.
There is no foul play in his death, nor any issue of substance abuse. The cause of his demise will be made public by the bereaved family after a post mortem examination.
