Veronica Greenfield, better known by her stage name Ronnie Spector, was an American actress and singer who co-founded the Ronettes with her older sister Estelle Bennett and cousin Nedra Talley in 1957. Bennett led the band, with the majority of their material produced by Phil Spector, a record producer.

The family said, “Our darling earth angel, Ronnie, gently left this world tonight after a brief struggle with cancer.” “She was in the arms of her husband, Jonathan, and surrounded by her family. Ronnie had a glint in her eye, a sassy attitude, a wicked sense of humor, and a smile on her face throughout her life.” On January 12, 2022, at the age of 78, Spector passed away from cancer.
Spector was born in Washington Heights, Manhattan, as Veronica Yvette Bennett, the girl of an African-American-Cherokee mom and an Irish–American dad. Bennett and her sister, Estelle Bennett (1941–2009), as well as their cousin, Nedra Talley, were encouraged to sing by their huge family.
