Ray Bullpen catcher Jean Ramirez is dead. News of his death was reported yesterday Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
He is said to have died suddenly at the age of 28 in Forth Worth Texas. News of his death has thrown his family and fans into a state of mourning.
In a statement, Rays manager Kevin Cash said “Jean was an incredible teammate and friend.
“He brought so much passion and energy each day to our clubhouse and bullpen, and his love for the Rays and baseball was evident to all who interacted with him. He had the biggest heart and most infectious smile. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends. Jean will be deeply missed.”
Rays’ president of baseball operations Erik Neander also released a statement, in-part saying “We extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to Jean’s family.
“He exuded so much joy in all he did, and his kind heart was truly a gift to all.”

As of now, nothing is known about Jean Ramirez’s cause of death. It is not clear if he has been suffering from any sickness.
