Michael F. Neidorff was an American business executive who served as chief executive officer (CEO) of Centene Corp. from 1996 until March 2022.
Born in 1943 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, United States, Michael Neidorff passed away on April 7, 2022 at the age of 79.
He graduated from Altoona High School in 1961 and earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Trinity University in 1965.
He also hold’s a master’s degree in industrial relations at St. Francis College.
In the 1980s, Neidorff served as director of international consumer products at Miles Laboratories in addition to working as president and CEO of Physicians Health Plan of Greater St. Louis.
In 2017, Neidorff was listed on Fortune’s Businessperson of the year list.
He is noted for donating to several political causes, including Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden’s presidential campaigns, the National Republican Senatorial Committee and Senator Jeanne Shaheen’s reelection campaign.
