One thing about Stewart Rhodes is that he is always seen with an eye patch on his left eye. The question many are asking is why does Stewart Rhodes wear an eyepatch?
If you want to find the answer to this question, then you are at the right place.
Steward Rhodes is the founder of Oath Keepers– an anti-government movement formed in 2009 after Barack Obama was elected as president.
Why does Stewart Rhodes wear an eyepatch?
Stewart Rhodes started wearing an eye patch after an event in 1993. Back then, he was in the Army and he used to be a firearm instructor.
One day, while he was teaching his students about how to handle and shoot, the short gun which he was using fell onto the ground. The firearm was loaded with bullets. So once it fell to the floor, it went off and blasted into the fact of Stewart Rhodes. That was how he lost his eye. From then on, he started wearing the eye patch we see him with today.
"In 1993, he [Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes] dropped a loaded handgun and it shot him in the face, blinding him in his left eye."
