News regarding his demise has come as a shock to everyone and cant believe Herbert Achternbusch is dead. Herbert Achternbusch’s death has bought tears to the hearts of many. The film director and writer died at age 83 on January 13, 2022.
He was born in Munich on 23 November 1938. In the 1970’s he joined the academy of fine arts. He wrote and published books like Die Alexanderschlacht. Aside from him having issues with some of the films he made, some also were liked by a couple of people. Reports have it that most films he made did not gain a wide audience in Germany.
Bolzano Filmfestival Bozen on Facebook said; “Herbert Achternbusch, a companion and friend of the first hour of the festival, then Bozner Film Days, has recently passed away”
. A “deeply Bavarian appearance, but embodied another, anarchic Bavaria”, as the BR writes, his favorite quote and definition of Bayrisch: “In our brain reing’ and forget to stir! “

Herbert Achternbusch”s funeral plans are not out yet. Details about his demise were only stated but not his funeral date. He died in his sleep. The family is waiting for the coroner’s report on the death of Herbert Achternbusch.
