Harvey Phillip Spector, popularly known as Phil Spector was an American record producer and songwriter.
He was born on December 26, 1939, in the Bronx, New York. His father committed suicide when he was six, leaving his mother as the sole caretaker for the family.
Phil Spector married Annette Merar in 1963. Phil had an affair with singer Veronica Bennett and he left his wife and married her.
They adopted three children. They divorced in 1974. Phil later had two children with his girlfriend Janis Zavala.
Phil Spector died on January 16, 2021, due to complications from COVID 19. He died at age 81.

Phil Spector started his career as a vocalist in 1966. Three years later he returned as a producer and worked with the biggest music groups at that time, including the Beatles. He also worked with artists such as Connie Francis, Curtis Lee, the Crystals, and several others.
Phil signed a deal with A&M Records in the 70s. He produced the Beatles album “Let It Be”, which was a massive success. Phil has produced albums and singles that has topped charts internationally.
Phil also wrote songs for several musicians and bands. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 and was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
